Welcome to the on-line home of Pack 816 in Niagara Falls, New York. If you are a boy in first grade through fifth grade—or you're 7 to 10 years old—then Cub Scouting is for you. It's for your family, too. This is the first and the biggest of the three Scouting programs (Cub Scouting, Boy Scouting, and Venturing) from the Boy Scouts of America.
If you are interested in having your son join our Cub Scout Pack, we meet on
Thursdays at 6:30 PM at
St Raphael's Parish Center during the school year. If you have any questions on where that is please email the
Cubmaster . Please feel free to come a meeting to see what we are all about.
We began our new scouting year at St. Raphael's in September. We have tentatively moved meeting nights to Thursdays. Competition with soccer, swimming and hockey is proving fierce.
Parents of young boys face a lot of choices in after-school activities. Boys want to have fun, while parents want them to learn positive values and skills that will last a lifetime. Cub Scouting may be exactly what you are both looking for. Fun with a purpose.
Generations of American men have participated in and benefited from Cub Scouting, and the experience of serving millions of participants over almost a century has enabled us to make Cub Scouting one of the most exciting and rewarding programs available to your family.
Recent Pack Activities
March 8, 2009 - Pack 816 Blue & Gold Dinner. This was a fantastic event that provided great food, atmosphere, advacement and entertainment. We had over 100 scouts and family members at the dinner and this is a great example of what Cub Scouting is about.
January 31, 2009 - The Pinewood Derby - We had 34 Cub Scouts racing this year. We had Den champions and a new Pack 816 Champion. The races were set up so that each car is raced a minimum of three races. Afterall, these cars were build to be raced. We are already looking forward to next year's race.
January 17 - We visited the Polaris District Klondike Derby in the morning. We got a chance to see what Boy Scout camping is about and how they put the skills learned to test.
August (1-4) Pack 816 went to Cub Scout Resident Camp - Knights of Round Table at Camp Scouthaven - Freedom, NY. We had 25 (scouts and adults) people attend the camp. Ask any of the boys who were there about the fun they had!
